Iowa Events Center
The Iowa Events Center is open for conventions and events at 100% capacity while allowing for social distancing. Employees and affiliates are required to wear face coverings and get temperatures checked. Guests are not required to wear face coverings, but they are encouraged. Des Moines Marriott Downtown
Des Moines Marriott Downtown has adapted its lobby to allow for social distancing and protection of guests and employees. Guests are required to wear masks in all public areas of the hotel. Des Moines Marriott Downtown is offering hybrid events packages, and virtual tours of the space can be found here. Amenities available are updated every month here.
Hilton Des Moines Downtown
Hilton Des Moines Downtown has implemented advanced cleaning measures for guest safety, which can be found here. Guests can tailor their experience to their own comfort level. Housekeeping practices can be adjusted by calling the front desk, and additional toiletries and linens are delivered in protective packaging to the guest room. Hilton now requires guests to wear face coverings in all public spaces of the hotels. The following services and amenities are available, but with reduced service: Fitness Center, Breakfast, On-site Restaurant(s), Room Service. The following services and amenities are currently not available: Airport Shuttle, Executive Lounge, Valet Parking. Iowa State Fairgrounds
The Iowa State Fairgrounds is currently open for non-fair events. Check out their latest COVID updates and take a virtual tour of the various buildings here. Additional cleaning procedures and social distancing guidelines are at the discretion of the event executives.
Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack, and Hotel
Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack, and Hotel is open, although the Meadows Event Center remains temporarily closed. There are reduced entrances to the facilities, and guest temperature checks will be executed. Guests with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed entry, nor will their party. Face coverings are required for everyone. Employees will not enter any occupied hotel rooms; housekeeping service will not be available for guests staying multiple nights. Room configurations have been adjusted to allow for appropriate social distancing for conventions, meetings, and banquets.
