Des Moines Public Transportation
The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is Iowa's largest public transit agency. DART runs through Altoona, Ankeny, Bondurant, Clive, Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston, Pleasant Hill, Polk County, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.
D-Line Shuttle
This free-to-ride route makes its rounds every 10 minutes. Look for the bus signs on Locust, Grand and Walnut to hop on and start your journey around the Greater Des Moines metro. The shuttle runs on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Link Shuttle
The Link is free to ride, beginning at Center Street Park & Ride (7th and Center Streets) and stopping at destinations along 7th and 8th Streets, 6th Avenue, and at DART Central Station (Cherry Street and 6th Avenue) in downtown Des Moines.
