Downtown Des Moines White Water Attractions
ICON’s future whitewater sites will bring high-energy recreation right into the heart of Des Moines. Three downtown locations – Center Street, Hubbell Trailhead at Fleur Drive, and Principal Point at Scott Avenue – will offer a range of experiences, from beginner-friendly features to more thrilling whitewater runs. These sites are designed for kayaking, surfing, splashing, and connecting with nature – all while improving safety and supporting local ecosystems.
Construction is underway at the Hubbell Trailhead and Principal Point. Keep an eye out as these sites come online in the upcoming years.
