    The Des Moines Arts Festival® is one of the world’s most respected festivals hosting 180 of the nation’s top artists on June 25-27, 2021 in a beautiful urban street setting surrounding the 4.4 acre John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park and the newly constructed Krause Gateway Center designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

    Eleven-time winner of the coveted Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA), the outdoor festival celebrating arts and culture attracts more than 200,000 people each year to its downtown location in Iowa's capital city and largest metropolitan area.

     

    COVID-19 safety: Visitors are highly encouraged to wear masks in high traffic areas, distance whenever possible, and sanitize hands frequently. Festival organizers have re-configured event logistics to promote distancing and ventilation; sanitization of high-touch surfaces will occur regularly. 

     

    Pro tips for a great visit: (1) Wear sturdy shoes. (2) Park in the Nationwide garage; allow extra time when coming and going. (3) Wear/bring/use sunscreen, hand sanitizer and plastic/cash.
