Dads Rock Festival
Indianola is making it an afternoon and evening of celebrating dad with their Dads Rock Festival on June 14. From 1 – 10 p.m. the celebrating features a backyard BBQ, Dod Bod Parade, Iowa’s largest man cave, family activities, and live music. Admission is free. 

Fancy Shaves for Father’s Day
Head to Big Grove Brewery from Noon – 4 p.m. on June 15 where dad can enjoy a complimentary beverage. He can also treat himself to a fresh shave or cleanup from The Mobile Barbering Company.  

George Lopez
Gift the dad in your life an evening of laughter at when George Lopez comes to Hoyt Sherman Place on June 14. Lopez has made a career in television, film, stand-up comedy, and late-night TV. Tickets start at $82.15.

Dad & Donuts

Father’s Day at Toad Valley
Spend your Father’s Day on the Green. Whether dad likes the long game or prefers to be the putt-putt champ, Toad Valley has you covered. Play 18 holes or a round of minigolf. Dad’s round is free when you play, too. 

Fathers Get in Free
Spend your Father’s Day exploring the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. Dads will get complimentary admission for the day! 

Guided Tour at Des Moines Art Center
Take dad on a special guided tour of the Des Moines Art Center from 1 – 2 p.m. on Father’s Day. The free tour celebrates the influence of fathers behind the scenes of artists through guidance, inspiration, and support. 

Iowa Cubs
Take dad out to Principal Park for some baseball action. The Iowa Cubs face the Louisville Bats at 1:08 p.m. Before the game you can go down on the field to play catch. Stick around after the game and run the bases together! Tickets start at $12.

Music Under the Stars
Enjoy live music outside at Hoyt Sherman Place starting at 7 p.m. on Father’s Day. The theme is Once Upon a Father’s Day: Music for Dads & Their Princesses. This is free to attend. 

Father’s Day Brunch Bingo
Celebrate dad with brunch, brews, and bingo at Smash Park during Father’s Day Brunch Bingo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 15. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dads eat free, with a $25 purchase.  

Father’s Day Brunch
Machine Shed invites you to their Father’s Day Brunch on June 15. Enjoy their breakfast buffet from 7 – 10 a.m. Their brunch buffet will feature made-to-order omelets, breakfast favorites, carved prime rib, smoked pork loin, fried chicken, pasta, salad bar, and more from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  If you are more the dinner family, enjoy a dinner buffet from 3 – 8 p.m. 

Father’s Day Buffet
Take the dad in your life out to Opa! Italian and Greek for an all-you-can-eat Father’s Day Buffet. From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., you can enjoy buffet items like fried shrimp, gyro meat and eggs, pasta alfredo, chicken primavera, chicken meatballs, and more. The price is $22.99 per person.
