What: Parade
When: Noon on Saturday, March 16
Why: Celebrate St. Patricks’ Day and paint the town green! The parade will start at Robert D. Ray Drive and continue down Grand Avenue, finishing at 8th Street.
What: St. Patrick’s Day Party
When: 10 a.m. – Midnight, March 16
Why: Wear your green and celebrate by signing up for the giant beer pong tournament. If you’re 21 and older, you can purchase the open bar package for $49 and enjoy all you can drink starting at 10 a.m.
St. Paddy’s Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K
What: Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K run
When: 7:45 a.m., March 16
Why: Get out your green running shoes and hit downtown Des Moines for the St. Paddy’s Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K. Runners will get a finisher pint glass, shamrock sugar cookie, and finisher medals for marathon and half marathon runners. Register to run here.

When: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., March 16
Why: The Shop DSM’s St. Patrick’s Day Party will include a pancake breakfast, kid's activities, touch a truck, face painting, beer, and so much more. It’s a party for everyone in the family!

Why: Grab your pup and get ready for a day of games and activities with green and gold. They will also have St. Patrick’s Day drink specials.
Lucky's St. Patrick's Day Crawl
What: Bar crawl starting at Hessen Haus
When: March 17 and 18
Why: Start the two-day bar crawl at Hessen Haus and make your way to the participating venue. Your ticket includes waived cover, drinks specials, food specials, and more.
