Scott Koch, Des Moines Area Sports Commission (DMASC) Senior Sales Manager, is now a Certified Sports Event Executive (CSEE). This prestigious, national program and training is only available to National Association of Sports Commissions members.

The program includes continuing education to provide participants with cutting edge knowledge to increase their efficiency and effectiveness in the sports event industry while enabling them to earn the designation of CSEE. Koch is one of 85 new graduates of this program.

Koch has been with the DMASC, serving under the umbrella of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB), since August of 2004. In his position, he recruits sporting events to the area to help create economic impact.

Prior to joining the DMASC, Koch attended graduate school at Florida State University while working for both their athletic department and men's basketball team. He received his master's degree from Florida State University in Sports Administration and Marketing and Sports Management degrees from Iowa State University.

Koch is an Urbandale native and now lives in West Des Moines.
