More than 19,000 people dined with 2011 Restaurant Week participating restaurants which contributed more than a quarter of a million dollars to the Greater Des Moines economy in 2011; more than double than the year before.
“Greater Des Moines is becoming known for our fantastic local dining options,” said GDMCVB President and CEO Greg Edwards. “Restaurant Week provides locals and visitors yet another reason to get out and enjoy our area eateries.”
Chefs at 32 of the Metro’s top restaurants will prepare special fixed-price menus. Diners can sink their teeth into two lunches or one three-course dinner for $25. Patrons are invited to save at least four receipts from their dining experience with the participating restaurants and enter to win a trip for two to California’s Sonoma County. Receipts must be mailed or dropped off to dsm Magazine, 100 4th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309 by Noon on Monday, August 27. No purchase necessary. Visit www.dsmmagazine.com for the official rules.
