DES MOINES, IA -  For the first time ever, visitors and locals of all ages can take advantage of discounts at local restaurants and attractions through the Catch Des Moines Fun Pass. The pass, created and distributed by the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, features discounts such as "$5 off Admission" and "Buy One Drink, Get One Free."

Participating partners include the Science Center of Iowa, MB2 Raceway, Valley West Mall, Iowa Brew Tours, Johnny's Hall of Fame, Brenton Skating Plaza and the Iowa Wild.

The new Catch Des Moines Fun Pass is the combination and extension of two previous Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau discount initiatives. The pass, which is the size of a credit card, can be used multiple times and will allow visitors and locals to easily carry it in a wallet or purse.

"Offering this fun pass to everyone is a win-win," says Greg Edwards, President and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau and Des Moines Area Sports Commission. "Families can experience and enjoy Greater Des Moines without breaking the bank, and our participating partners will reap the benefits of increased foot traffic through this expanded marketing effort."

Locals and visitors can pick up a fun pass at the visitor information kiosk at the Des Moines International Airport, the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau office and at the visitor information kiosks at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and Wells Fargo Arena. The pass will also be included in visitor welcome bags for convention and events and more than 45,000 visitor inquiry packets throughout the year.

For more information, details on each fun pass offer and additional deals and discounts, visit catchdesmoines.com/fun-pass. Valid through April 2016. New discounts and attractions will be featured on a summer fun pass available May - September.
