Trina Flack, National Sales Manager at the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been named President of the Iowa Society of Association Executives (ISAE) Board of Directors. Flack is the first president from a convention and visitors bureau from the state chapter’s history, and will serve in this prestigious role for one year.
Flack was presented the gavel in late April 2013 after serving on the ISAE Board of Directors for eight years prior. The Iowa Society of Association Executives is a professional association of individuals who are engaged in the management of not-for-profit associations. ISAE members are on the staffs of local, regional and national individual member and trade associations.
“We’re proud to boast of Trina’s accomplishments,” said Greg Edwards, President and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Her role will strengthen the education of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau on the needs of associations to better serve in Des Moines.”
Flack has been with the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau for five years. In addition to her service with ISAE, she has also served in various roles including the City of Ankeny Planning and Zoning Committee, FFA Enrichment Center Advisory Committee, the Ankeny Westwood Parent/Teacher Organization and the Society of Government Meeting Planners.
