The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, the parent organization of the Des Moines Area Sports Commission, is pleased to announce the following employee updates:

Amber Angaran is Research Manager. Her duties include prospecting potential new business and managing the local connector program.

Marissa Brown
is CRM/Technology Manager. Brown's duties include managing the organization's CRM program through Simpleview, as well as the housing needs on behalf of hotels, planners and attendees.

Vicki Comegys, Vice President of Sales and Services, now oversees sports sales efforts in addition to her existing duties including overseeing all convention sales, services and city-wide event bookings.

Nancy Goode has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and Administration. Duties associated with her role include managing operations and administration and directing all financial, human resources and technology processes.

Katie Fencl has been promoted to Sports Project Manager. Fencl now oversees Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau/Des Moines Area Sports Commission events such as the Central Iowa Sports Awards, Catch Des Moines Celebrity Golf Classic and large sporting events being held in the city. Additionally, Fencl now oversees the organization's Catch Crew for guerrilla marketing, information tables, event registration and welcome efforts for sporting events.

Scott Koch has been promoted to Director of Sports Sales. His duties include managing the sales activities for the sports market through identifying new sports events for the area.

Mark Kostek is Sports Event Manager. Duties include overseeing event management of the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, assisting with the NCAA Division I Wrestling National Championships and other large-scale sports events.

Lauren Steenhoek is Project Administrator. Steenhoek supports the sales and service efforts through project management.

Tiffany Tauscheck has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Development. Tauscheck's duties include overseeing strategic revenue generation, managing media relations, PR efforts, advertising, integrated marketing and advocacy programs.
