The 2012 Dance-A-Rama will welcome hundreds of single square dancers to Des Moines for four days of dancing Thursday, August 30 through Sunday, September 2. It will be the first time the event is held here.

The Single Square Dancers USA Dance-A-Rama is put on by the local Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and welcomes dancers from across the country for all forms of dancing, including square dancing, round dancing, line dancing and contra dancing. Workshops, such as salsa lessons and introductions to square dancing and round dancing will be open to the public.

The event is being held at Airport Holiday Inn Conference Center, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines.
