DES MOINES, Iowa (March 19, 2020) – Catch Des Moines today released a public service announcement featuring Greg Edwards, President and CEO of Catch Des Moines, offering ways to support Greater Des Moines small business while practicing social distancing.

"It's vitally important that we band together to support our small business community during this unprecedented time," said Edwards. "Restaurants, bars and small retailers are especially in need of our help, which is why we're creating many resources and working on collaborative efforts to communicate ways to preserve and protect our vibrant Greater Des Moines culture."
Additionally, Catch Des Moines today launched a new "Des Good News" newsletter in place of its "Weekly Things to Do" newsletter. In the absence of events for the coming week, Catch Des Moines is collecting and sharing inspiring stories of how central Iowans, groups, and organizations are supporting the community and how others can get involved too.
