Catch autumn foliage. Pumpkin patches, apple orchards and scenic trails. Today the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau launches a marketing campaign at catchdesmoines.com/fall, encouraging visitors to catch Des Moines this fall.

The microsite will feature Greater Des Moines farms, orchards, wineries and breweries, plus local golf courses, trails and events unique to fall in Des Moines. Videos will feature various fall hotspots, providing a glimpse of seasonal favorites.

“We’ve created the fall campaign as a service to both visitors and locals,” says Greg Edwards, President and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau/Des Moines Area Sports Commission. “It’s a reminder of the seasonal jewels to catch in Des Moines once summer is over.”

Last year’s fall campaign drew more than 7,000 requests from visitors to receive a Catch Des Moines Visitors Guide over the course of two months. This year’s campaign is expected to draw even more visitor inquiries.

Sponsored by Growing Family Fun at Geisler Farms (5251 NE 94th Avenue, Bondurant), the microsite offers one free maze admission with three paid maze admissions, valid only at Geisler Farms. Visitors can also enter to win a Fall Giveaway to Greater Des Moines, including tickets to Ballet Des Moines, the Des Moines Community Playhouse, Climb Iowa and the Iowa Primate Learning Center, admission and hayrides at Growing Family Fun at Geisler Farms plus a dozen cupcakes from Momma CT’s Cupcakes LLC.

The site launches today, Wednesday, September 4 and will stay live through Thursday, October 31.
