DES MOINES - Due to the higher than anticipated turn out last night at the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) Wing Ding 32 Light Parade in Historic Valley Junction, we are now anticipating 1,000 motorcycles to participate in tonight’s Grand Parade. This is the largest motorcycle parade in the nation. This would break records of Wing Ding parades held throughout the country previously.

Staging begins on Grand Avenue at 3:30 p.m. today, July 2. The motorcyclists will take off from 5th and Grand at 5:30 p.m. They’ll snake through 13 neighborhoods and end at Urbandale High School. The parade routes may cause some traffic delays.

Immediately following the parade there will be a presentation by the GWRRA Drill Team and Top Gun performers at the Urbandale High School parking lot.

Local support is highly encouraged and appreciated. Wing Ding welcome signs may be printed for free.
