The 48th annual AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines begin tomorrow, July 22 through Saturday, August 2. Central Iowans are urged to catch nearly 14,000 participants competing across 20 unique sporting events.
“These youth are the college stars, amateur players and professional athletes of tomorrow,” says Suzie Glazer Burt, Honorary Chair of the 2014 AAU Junior Olympic Games. “By supporting the event, local spectators will experience the winning moments of AAU Junior Olympic Games competitors as they continue on their paths to athletic success.”
