Greenbelt

The Clive Greenbelt is the crown jewel of the City of Clive parks and trail system, and the most used park amenity the city operates.  The Greenbelt stretches nearly the entire length of our community and serves as a recreational and social center for Clive residents.  Over 11 miles of paved trails provide an urban oasis for people to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with the natural environment.  Yearly an average of more than 75,000 people travel through the Greenbelt.

In 2019 the Clive Greenbelt was designated as an Iowa Great Place by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.  The Clive Greenbelt is also regularly recognized as one of the best places for walking and biking within the metro area.
