The Des Moines Area Sports Commission (DMASC), an organization under the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB) umbrella, is asking Central Iowans to vote now for their favorite local sports performances of 2010. Online voting is open now through February 18 at www.catchdesmoines.com/CISA.

The Central Iowa Sports Awards (CISA) will be given to individuals and teams who have pursued athletic excellence with honor in 2010. The calendar year activities must have occurred within a 75-mile radius of home plate at Principal Park. Award winners will be named at the CISA banquet Sunday, February 27, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Meadows Ballroom, Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona. Tickets are available for $85 per seat, or $650 for a table of eight at www.catchdesmoines.com/CISA.
