The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB) is unveiling a new gift card today. The Greater Des Moines MasterCard® Gift Card is sponsored by Liberty Bank. The MasterCard gift card works like any other gift card and is available in any denomination between $10 and $2,999. A $1 surcharge will be added to each individual gift card purchase. No other fees apply.
"We're pleased to collaborate with the GDMCVB on this new Greater Des Moines Gift Card," said Linda Patterson, Liberty Bank Vice President, Marketing Communications Manager. "Together, we were able to establish a program that allows visitors and locals to give the gift of experiencing all Greater Des Moines has to offer."
Gift cards can be purchased at the GDMCVB office in Capital Square, 400 Locust Street, Suite 265 in Downtown Des Moines during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Gift cards may also be purchased anytime online at www.catchdesmoines.com/giftcard.
A list of suggested Greater Des Moines attractions, hotels and restaurants is included on the website. While it is highly recommended that the gift cards are redeemed in Greater Des Moines, as a MasterCard gift card it may be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted nationwide. The gift card can not be used at ATMs to trade in for cash.
