The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, the parent organization of the Des Moines Area Sports Commission, is pleased to announce the following employee updates:
Vicki Comegys has been promoted to Vice President of Sales, Sports & Services. Comegys has been with the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau for 27 years. She began as a part-time support team member and has held roles of Sales Manager, Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales & Services.
Katie Fencl has been promoted to Director of Events. She will oversee various events including the USA Track & Field Championships, AAU Junior Olympic Games and many others. Formerly, Katie was Sports Project Manager.
Janelle Hiller is Housing Assistant; previously, Hiller was an intern at the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau and will now assist the CRM/Technology Manager in housing planning for major events.
Brock Konrad is Web & Digital Media Specialist. He will oversee the catchdesmoines.com website and mobile site, microsites, e-newsletters and social media platforms.
Jannae Lane was promoted to Marketing Manager. Lane’s role includes research and design projects, managing publications including Catch Des Moines, the Guide to Greater Des Moines and the Greater Des Moines Planner’s Guide.
Kristine Reeves is now Marketing Specialist; her duties will include managing promotional giveaways and assisting with the co-op advertising program, as well as planning marketing events. Previously Reeves was Marketing Development Manager.
Addison Speck is Marketing Partner Specialist. Speck’s role will support the Marketing Partner Manager in partner renewals and partner projects. Previously Speck was a TV reporter at KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids.
