DES MOINES, IA - The next 14 days are expected to bring an estimated 311,000 attendees out to four major events, including USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Des Moines Arts Festival, Gold Wing Road Riders Association Wing Ding 32 and Goodguys Heartland Rod and Custom Nationals.

These four events are expected to create at least $12.8 in million economic impact on Greater Des Moines. Each event is estimated to contribute the following in economic impact:

USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 23-27, 2010 - $4.5 million
Des Moines Arts Festival, June 25-27, 2010 - $2.3 million
Gold Wing Road Riders Association Wing Ding 32, June 30-July 3, 2010 - $4 million
Goodguys Heartland Rod and Custom Nationals, July 2-4, 2010 - $2 million


By the end of June, Greater Des Moines' major events and conventions will have seen over 600,000 attendees. The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau can account for 50,000 room nights in June 2010.
