Please join us for "An Evening with Former President George W. Bush" in support of Trailhead International Builders, a nonprofit organization that raises initial funding for church and community center facilities including youth sports programs, feeding centers, and trade-skills centers in developing nations.

President Bush has maintained an active schedule that includes numerous humanitarian efforts since leaving office in January 2009. He and his wife, Laura, traveled to Gaborone, Botswana and Namibia in April to demonstrate their continued commitment to the people of Africa through the work of the George W. Bush Institute's global leadership programs. The trip highlighted the work of the Bush Institute’s affiliate, Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon®, a global partnership fighting women’s cancers, and the Bush Institute’s First Ladies Initiative, which engages and supports first ladies from around the world to effectively use their unique platforms to improve lives. Mrs. Bush recently announced that more than $930,000 is being distributed to 160 school libraries from 38 states across the country through the 2017 library grants from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries.

Trailhead International Builders is a 501(c)(3) Christian organization that raises funds to build churches and community centers in developing nations. One hundred percent of all contributions go directly to mission projects. All administrative and operational expenses are independently funded by Daniel and Rachael Pettit and events.

Recent funding projects include new church facilities in Pochocuape, Nicaragua; Rama Blanca, Guatemala; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Bomani, Kenya; Pampanga, Philippines; Tro Keat, Cambodia; and sports center programs in Sandino, Nicaragua; Reya, Ukraine; Manila, Philippines; Alajuela, Costa Rica. Sports centers provide safe and healthy environments for young people to play and learn while instilling character and integrity utilizing biblical principles.

"We are tremendously honored that President Bush has chosen to help us with our mission to improve the lives of people around the world who struggle in grinding poverty and seek to lift up their lives and, especially, the lives of their children," said Daniel and Rachael Pettit, presidents of the Trailhead International Builders. "His compassion for people in need is an inspiration to millions of people. We could not imagine a more appropriate leader to highlight our mission and work."
