Timeless is a pop-up exhibition featuring objects in the West Des Moines Historical Society collection in conversation with contemporary artwork by artists whose subject matter or techniques were prevalent during the time period in which The Jordan House was built. We will be donating 10% of sales to the West Des Moines Historical Society. O-L artists: Michael Banning, Gary Bowling, Joshua Cunningham, Mat Kelly, Randy Richmond, Tim Schiffer, and Amy Worthen
The Jordan House, a stately Victorian home of Italianate Gothic design, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Program. Built by one of West Des Moines’ first settlers, James C. Jordan, the house is one of the oldest structures in Polk County and the oldest in West Des Moines.
The exhibition will run through September 30th. The Jordan House will hold open hours every Wednesday from 9am-4pm between August 31st and September 28th. Please arrange an appointment to visit the house outside of those hours by calling or emailing Olson-Larsen Galleries. 515.277.6734 email@example.com
