Have we got a treat for YOU! We will be sharing The Book of Will by Lauren Gunderson on Jan 24 at 6:30 pm. This rehearsed reading is preformed and live streamed with permission from Dramatists Play Service. Brad Church, Anne Claes, John Claes, Ali Kirwen, Joe Kirwen, Nicholas Root, Cheryl Clark, Doug Forie, and Ethan Saltz will perform in this reading.

In the 1580's, William Shakespeare began a long and successful career as a writer, actor, and part-owner of a play company eventually known as the "King's Men". He wrote 39 plays, including Romeo and Juliet, Othello, King Lear, Julius Caesar, and Macbeth, which are considered to be among the finest works in history. His plays have been translated to every major living language and have been performed more often than those of any other playwright.

So just how did his works come to be so famous, in a time when printed works were difficult to find and very expensive??? The play will take us back in time to explore what did and what might have happened! Based on what we know from history, The Book of Will offers a fictional answer to our question and explores the thought "Just why is theater so important to us all?" Whether you are a long-time Shakespeare fan or someone who just loves theater, this is a story you will enjoy!
