A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes. Emergency responders will arrive as quickly as possible, but bystanders are almost always there first. In the case of disaster and high casualty incidents, emergency services are often spread thin. Will you be ready?
As part of the Stop the Bleed Campaign, Broadlawns is proud to offer a FREE training on Bleeding Control Basics to the public. This class will teach attendees how to control bleeding to increase the likelihood of saving lives in an emergency. Attendees will learn a variety of methods to stop bleeding, including how to correctly apply pressure, dress a wound, and apply a tourniquet.
