Bud, a middle-aged agronomist at a big seed corporation, is forced to confront issues with his identity, sexuality and a family history of suicide, when he meets Holler, a teenage “Skater Boy” in a rural Iowa motel.
A Scriptease Workshop/Reading of this play is currently scheduled for January 31, 2017.
Playwright Scott Bradley is currently in residence at the University of Iowa’s Playwrights Workshop. Scott has been an actor and director for well over 30 years and over 100 productions. Scott is the founding member and Artistic Director of Ope Circle Theatre Co in Seattle Washington. He has given presentations all over the country on a multitude of topics such as GLBT Theatre, Commedia dell’Arte, theatre management and new play development. Scott has been seen on-satge in Des Moines at the Drama Workshop as Dr. Frankenfurter in The Rocky Horror Show and as Michael in The Last Sunday in June at StageWest Theatre Co. Scott and is husband Jonathan currently live in West Branch Iowa with their family of Dora (the cat) and Eddie (the dog).
