Overview

Get ready for another year of the Storytellers Project in Des Moines!  In our first year last year, we were able to share true, first-person stories from neighbors & notables with more than 2,000 attendees over 8 events!

In our second year, we are shaking things up & releasing the entire schedule — right now — so you can buy tickets & plan your year. The project is dedicated to the idea that oral storytelling & journalism have the same goals: serving & reflecting a community while fostering empathy among those people. These nights blend the authenticity & hype-free discipline of storytelling as an art form, with the truthfulness, community-building & empowerment that's at the heart of great journalism.

We want you to be a part of our second season, whether you are on stage or in the audience. We are expanding to new parts of the Des Moines metro area to bring the Storytellers experience to more of you & continue to build this important & essential community! In an effort to make 2017 even more special, we are experimenting with a more robust VIP experience that will feature premier seating, express check-in & special gifts. We've also worked hard to secure unique venues & bring special surprises to the guest experience. Tickets for the entire season are on sale now at DesMoinesRegister.com/Storytellers. Subscribers can earn a discount on tickets by using their Insider credentials to unlock a special promo code at checkout.
