Create a nature photo journal project and learn to look in a new way as well as appreciate, document, and learn about your surroundings. In this workshop participants will learn basic photography techniques, principles of phenology, have the opportunity to experiment and improve their nature photography, and plan their own nature photo journal project. Participants must bring their own camera; digital SLR cameras are recommended but any type of camera can be used. Phone cameras are also allowed. Instructor, Kristie Burns, has done workshops with The Des Moines Botanical Center, Living History Farms, and Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge. Minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 15 participants. Pre-registration required by February 18.
