Movers for Moms Donation Drive

Though Mother’s Day is intended to be a joyous occasion for women across the country, thousands of moms will be overlooked on this special holiday because they are forced to live in shelters as a result of domestic abuse or homelessness.

To ensure moms in crisis receive the love and appreciation they deserve this Mother’s Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Des Moines and Ames is hosting its annual Movers for Moms® donation drive to collect essential care items to local women and children at Children & Families of Iowa's domestic violence shelter.

This year, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is working with local salons & businesses and Des Moines area Hy-Vee stores to collect essential care items for women and children and will be dropped off in time for Mother's Day.

Collecting items such as: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, lotions, sunscreen, makeup, towels, blankets, pillows and twin sheets.
