ACT will honor mothers on this Mother's Day, May 9, 2021 with our Readers Virtual Theater production of Motherhood Out Loud. Produced and live streamed with permission from Dramatists Play Service, this series of vignettes is written by Leslie Ayvazian, Brooke Berman, David Cale, Jessica Goldberg, Beth Henley, Lameece Issaq, Claire LaZebnik, Lisa Loomer, Michele Lowe, Marco Pennette, Theresa Rebeck, Luanne Rice, Annie Weisman and Cheryl L. West. The rehearsed reading will begin at 6:30 pm.
Katty Perrell is directing the show and playing a role in the show, along with cast members of Lauren Mills, Barb Wagner, Corinn Brush, and Michael Porche. Motherhood Out Loud will touch your heart (remember when your baby went off to kindergarten or college?), strike your funny bone (how about embarrassing your middle school son when you meet this first movie date?), and cause you to nod your head in recognition (just how can you become friends with your soon-to-be daughter-in-law?). For anyone who is (or has) a mother, foster mother, stepmother, grandmother or anything in between, this reading is for you!
