Dutch trumpeter Eric Vloeimans makes his fourth visit to Jazz at Caspe Terrace in Waukee. This time in a duo performance with accordionist Will Holshouser.
The two recently completed their second recording — “Two For The Road” — which will be available at the show. As one reviewer stated, accordion and trumpet, as played by Vloeimans and Holshouser, can be a choir of angels. It is music that is eminently easy on the ear, so even those not well versed in jazz don’t even notice the virtuoso breaks into improvisations. But still, they are there, gloriously resounding from the trumpet, dark and efficient from the low register of the accordion.
Trust me, you have never heard music played like this, unless you attended one of Eric’s earlier concerts in the intimate and acoustically-perfect setting of Caspe Terrace!
