July 14, 2018, 9am-4pm, activities 11am-4pm The people of the Ioway nation were some of Iowa's first farmers! Explore this Native American culture which gave Iowa its name. Visit our 1700 Ioway Farm where farm staff will present hands-on activities to showcase how the Ioway built their homes, prepared food, and farmed. Guest presenters will share their own personal expertise in Ioway culture and technology. Be sure to allow time to ride the tractor cart out to the 1700 Ioway Farm! The last tractor cart to reach the Ioway Farm will depart at 2pm. Event activities are included in regular admission to Living History Farms.
