The new Iowa Women's Art Exhibition titled "Illusive" features artist Renee Meyer Ernst of Davenport, whose digital collage work explores the notions of motherhood, emotional longing, physical distance, and questions of culture and connectivity as they relate to her story as a Korean adoptee. Though created with recognizable imagery and familiar textures, the collages quickly become indistinguishable and elusive through the layering of various forms, a quality reminiscent of the thoughts and memories of the artist's adoption journey. View "Illusive" by Renee Meyer Ernst, on display now through June 30 in the Governor’s Office at the State Capitol.
