Iowa High School State Baseball Tournament

Overview

The Iowa high school state baseball tournament returns to Principal Park for the 13th time! The first dozen years have dazzled & delighted fans from all across the state.

A total of 48 champions in the four classes have been crowned at Principal Park. Of those, 25 teams were top seeds in their class. Ten were seeded second or third; and another 10 were seeded fourth or fifth. Three six seeds have won state titles. And: Eight seeds have defeated top seeds three times in first-round play.

There have been great individual performances & great team performances. Hitters have slugged 43 home runs. Pitchers have tossed 11 no-hitters, including one perfect game. There have been 81 one-run games, and 25 extra-inning games.

THURSDAY, JULY 27
Class 1A semifinals — 11 and 1:30
Class 2A semifinals — 5 and 7:30

FRIDAY, JULY 28
Class 3A semifinals — 11 and 1:30
Class 4A semifinals — 5 and 7:30

SATURDAY, JULY 29
Class 1A championship — 11 a.m.
Class 2A championship — 1:30 p.m.
Class 3A championship — 5 p.m.
Class 4A championship — 7:30 p.m.
