Girls on the Run 5K

  • Principal Park, 1 Line Drive | Des Moines, IA 50309
  • Presented By: EMC Insurance Companies
  • Dates: November 7, 2021
  • Location: Principal Park, Home of the Iowa Cubs
  • Price: 5K FEE Equipping girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living is priceless! However, there are real costs associated with operating a non-profit organization and delivering the Girls on the Run programs to approximately 1,000 girls. Beginning the fall of 2021 there will be a $25 fee for a girl’s 5K running buddy. In the past running buddies have been included in the upfront program fees. However, this year these costs go to creating a safe and empowering event that allows us to work with a race management company, rent Principal Park, close streets, secure police and support the rising costs of the program. And for the first time, the running buddy will also receive GOTR t-shirt to commemorate race day
