Join Karen with Forest Spirit LLC for a Nature and Forest Therapy Walk on October 8, from 9am -11am at Greenwood Park!
Take time to relax, disconnect and feed your soul. This gentle guided walk will focus on using all your senses to explore the forested area of the raspberry farm. This walk is based on shinrin-yoku or forest therapy which has shown to reduce stress, increase creativity, lower blood pressure, provide relaxation, offer a connection with nature and many other health benefits. The cost is $30 per person. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver. We will meet near the Sylvan Theater in the open space. Small sit mats will be available for use. You may want to bring a small chair, blanket, bug spray, and bottle of water. Dress to be outside and wear comfortable shoes. This program is geared towards those 16 and older. No pets please. Karen Johlas-Szalkowski is a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and has been leading environmental education and outdoor recreation programs for over 20 years. She is delighted to lead this walk sponsored by Sacred Health. If you have any questions, please email Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
