Join Indianola Parks & Recreation & Forest Spirit LLC for a Nature and Forest Therapy Walk on October 22,from 9am - 11:30am! The walk will take place at Buxton Park, 907 North D Street. Take time to relax, disconnect and feed your soul.
This gentle guided walk will focus on using all your senses to explore Buxton Park. This walk is based on shinrin-yoku or forest therapy which has shown to reduce stress, increase creativity, lower blood pressure, provide relaxation, offer a connection with nature and many other health benefits. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver. We will meet near the gazebo. Small sit mats will be available for use. You may want to bring a small chair, blanket, bug spray, and bottle of water. Dress to be outside and wear comfortable shoes.
This program is geared towards those 16 and older. No pets please.
