Join us for Eat.Drink.Architecture 2023!

This year's event will start and end at Ken’s Not-So-Secret Speakeasy in the lower level of the Iowa Tap Room. Fortified with food and drink, you will then set out on an architecture tour through the up-and-coming Market District. After a stop to refuel at Truman’s Pizza/Rita’s Cantina, the tour continues across the river into the Historic Court Avenue District with a stop to rest and eat again at The Red Monk/Royal Mile on historic 4th Street. After a taste of what they have to offer, the tour will head into the Civic Center Historic District along the Des Moines River and into the East Village. The tour will return to Ken’s for a final drink and dessert to end the day.

Participants are welcome to purchase additional drinks at Ken's or put your name in for a table upstairs in the Iowa Taproom.

Participants will have 4 separate starting times, so there will be no delays. Departure times will be at 11:00 am, 11:30 am, 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm. Please select your preferred tour time below when you register! 
Each stop will feature samples of food and adult beverages as well as conversation with the tour volunteers. Along the tour route, you’ll have fun socializing, while enjoying a guided walking tour of the architecture in downtown Des Moines. Tickets are $40 and must be purchased in advance.  Purchase now as this event always sells out!
