Des Moines Peak Prospects

  • Overview

    Baseball and summer go hand-in-hand. Though the Iowa Cubs’ season has been put on pause, the organization will give fans live action in 2020. Des Moines Peak Prospects, a collegiate summer league team, brings baseball to Principal Park for all-star action beginning Friday, June 19 with a 5 p.m. doubleheader.

    Fifty-five collegiate players, primarily from the state of Iowa, will take the field representing 27 different colleges and universities. Eleven players from the University of Iowa will suit up in the league, including Zeb Adrian (OF/1B), Austin Martin (C) and Brendan Sher (SS). Click here to view the full roster.

    The DMPP will play a 5 p.m. doubleheader consisting of two 7.0-inning games at Principal Park on each of the following dates:

    June 19 & 20

    July 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, & 14

    Aug. 5, 6 & 8

    Tickets are $8 for general admission and parking is free. Gates open at 4 p.m. Concessions, including beer, will be available for purchase. Social distancing will be enforced and fans are encouraged to wear masks.
