Join us Saturday, October 26th for a truly one-of-a-kind dinner and haunted storytelling event at the historic Rees Gabriel Mansion at 1701 Pennsylvania Avenue near Union Park.
Several area historians have researched the dark, murderous, creepy and mysterious history of Des Moines. They’ll share the real accounts of ghosts, grave robbers, unsolved murders and hauntings.
…The setting couldn’t be more perfect. The Rees Gabriel Mansion is listed on the listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1900 by Rees Gabriel who owned 37 lumber yards around the state. He spared no expense on the woodworking in the home. This home is a treat to see on its own merits and has the perfect ambiance for our storytellers.
Dinner will be supplied by Dawn Musgrove of New Day Catering. Expect generous portions of hand-crafted appetizers, small plate entrées and desserts.
