Des Moines Concours d'Elegance to benefit Children's Cancer Connection

  • Overview

The Des Moines Concours is a premier exhibition of vintage, classic and special interest collectible motor vehicles. Our event celebrates the fine art, design evolution, amazing innovations, and cultural significance of motor vehicles through the years, as well as the talented designers and engineers who created them.

The Concours is held in downtown Des Moines on closed streets surrounding the internationally recognized John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park, which features 31 works of art by 25 of the world’s most celebrated sculptors. The Des Moines Concours is a free event and open to the public with 2019 attendance exceeding 12,000.

Proceeds from the 2021 Des Moines Concours d’Elegance will once again benefit Children’s Cancer Connection, whose mission is enhancing the lives of families affected by childhood cancer by providing quality programs for education, recreation and support. The Des Moines Concours has provided over $100,000, which supports up to 50 campers every summer. Kids involved with Children’s Cancer Connection get the chance to participate in Hagerty Youth Judging each year at the Des Moines Concours. For more information visit
