Des Moines Symphony musicians Andrew Bishop and Andrew Classen feature in Vivaldi’s sparkling Concerto for Two Trumpets, plus Copland’s idyllic Appalachian Spring
Our November concert opens with Handel’s majestic Entrance of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon and Pulitzer Prize-winning African-American composer George Walker’s serene Lyric for Strings.
