Our November concert opens with Handel’s majestic Entrance of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon and Pulitzer Prize-winning African-American composer George Walker’s serene Lyric for Strings. Principal Trumpet Andrew Bishop and Second Trumpet Andrew Classen feature in Vivaldi’s sparkling, brilliant Concerto for Two Trumpets; finally, Copland’s idyllic, inspiring Appalachian Spring.
