Explore the history of Iowa law and sit on an 1875 jury during Living History Farms’ Circuit Court Day. Lawyers, witnesses, judge and court clerks, re-created by costumed interpreters, will present real court cases from 1870s Iowa courts. Museum guests will sit on the jury and find out if their verdicts match those of their 19th century predecessors. Cases begin at 11am, 11:30am, noon, 1pm, 1:30pm, and 2pm in the Schoolhouse. Each will last approximately 20 minutes.
