Black History Month Exhibit Reception

    'The Life and Times of George Washington Carver' - Artist, Botanist, Inventor, Genius  

    Join us for the Opening Reception to celebrate Black History Month on Friday, February 15th from 5:00 - 7:30pm.

    The gallery will present a display representing George Washington Carver's life and times with Giclee reproductions of Mary Kline-Misol's large diptych paintings hanging at the World Food Prize and DuPont Pioneer in Des Moines. 

    We will also have a traveling exhibit from the African American Museum of Iowa on display and copies of the correspondence between Mahatma Gandhi and Carver during the years of 1929 through 1935, from the Tuskegee Institute Archives. 

    Works on display the month of February.
