Bike Month is Here! The Street Collective is hosting over 30 bike-centric events in May to celebrate National Bike Month.
National Bike Month celebrates the weekend trail riders, the daily commuters, the distance rollers, and lovers of all things bikes here in Central Iowa.
The Bike Month passport of events is back so you can attend events to win prizes. Bike Month grand prizes include 2 4-Day GA Passes to the Hinterland Music Festival and a 1953 Raleigh Dawn Tourist!
There is an event for every crowd. If you’re keen on art, PedalArt on May 27th at Confluence Brewing Co. is a show and sale of bike-themed posters by Iowa artists.
For families looking to stay active, we are hosting a Safe Summer Kickoff that will include free food, a bike, lock and helmet giveaway for the first 50 kids, and community exhibitor booths to connect valuable resources to families in a fun setting.
If you’re in the market for some exclusive and speciality bikes, mark your calendar for Coolest Bike in Town on May 29th at Captain Roy’s. This culminating event will feature custom bikes from across the region where judges will name the Coolest Bike in Town for each category. Pre-register your bike at tinyurl.com/CBITReg.
“After such a long hiatus for in person events, we are excited to offer communities a variety of events to get involved, stay active and have fun. We are looking forward to connecting people through a shared love of biking,” said Makenna Chapman, Communications and Outreach coordinator for the Street Collective
