49th Annual Madison County Covered Bridge Festival

  • Overview

The Madison County Covered Bridge Festival is a celebration of our county’s history, heritage, and world-famous covered bridges!  Featuring live music from two entertainment stages, the festival (now in its 49th year) also includes old-time craft demonstrations, wine sampling, arts & crafts and food vendors, a classic car show, quilt show, parade, spelling bee, courthouse and covered bridge tours, and more.  Back in 2018 is celebrated 3-D chalk artist Kathleen Roling, and new this year are activities based upon the life of George Washington Carver, who lived in Winterset 130 years ago.

Join us in Madison County for a weekend of food, friends, fun, and celebration!
