2020 Junior High National Finals Rodeo

    Watch the best of the best from all over the world compete at roping, riding, racing and tying at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa.

    The National Junior High Rodeo Finals, one of the largest rodeos in the world, will be held in Des Moines June 21-27, 2020. Approximately 1,200 middle school students that are the “best of the best” from 48 states, 5 provinces in Canada, Australia, and Mexico qualify for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo to compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes.

    Contestants will compete in a variety of events, including Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Chute Dogging, Team Roping, Ribbon Roping and Junior Bull Riding. 

    In addition to the rodeo, there will also be one of the greatest western tradeshows in the nation! Free and open to the public in the Varied Industries Building.
