The 2020 Iowa Arts Summit will virtually gather Iowa's creative industry professionals on August 7, 2020 for a day of networking, learning and celebrating the arts in Iowa. Leading state and national presenters will host panels, breakout discussions and workshops to explore the new ways Iowans create and experience the arts in 2020.
Virtual sessions will explore the knowledge, connections and collaborations the creative sector needs to adapt and move forward during this time of disruption and uncertainty, including community engagement and inclusive arts programming practices along with effective strategic planning for nonprofits and business planning for artists. Virtual panels, breakout discussions and workshops will examine how artists and venues can stay in touch with audiences, engage new supporters and keep visions alive while reinventing the format of performances, events and gatherings. The Iowa Arts Summit will also feature streaming entertainment, virtual tours and demonstrations by Iowa artists, opportunities to collaborate on interactive arts projects, and the presentation of the Governor's Arts Awards.
Registration is open now! Register for the Summit in advance for $15 per person or $20 day-of. Scholarships are available to Iowa artists and to students currently pursuing an arts-related major at an Iowa college or university.
