Often called Iowa's Super Bowl, CyHawk weekend is finally here! We've gathered up all the different celebrations happening throughout Greater Des Moines this weekend. Find your spot below:

Smash Park CyHawk Tailgate Party
What: Smash Park is hosting the ultimate tailgate this weekend for CyHawk! The specials are endless: free jello shots, $1 tacos until 3 p.m., $7 big beers and $5 spiked lemonades, and so much more. Plus, yard games, face painting, a $25,000 football toss contest, and the biggest fan contest. The game will be on throughout the entire venue, along with sound!

Cy-Hawk Game Day at Paws & Pints
What: Head to Paws & Pints for the ulti-mutt tailgate party for the CyHawk game! They’ll have drawings every hour throughout the day, as well as a beanbag long toss competition, beer bucket specials, and more. Bringing your dog isn’t required, but sure is welcome!

When: Saturday, September 10, 12 – 8 p.m. 

RVTV – Indianola
What: WHO13 is wrapping up their RVTV tour in Indianola. The party starts at 3 p.m. at The Square with live music, as well as live broadcasts at 4, 5, and 6 p.m. The party continues all night long with the live broadcast of the Indianola High School football game. Take part in a foam party, inflatables, food trucks, games, and so much more.

The Garden Tailgate and Viewing Party
What: Looking for a rooftop tailgating experience? The Garden is hosting the ultimate tailgate and rooftop viewing party for CyHawk fans on Saturday. Along with the game, there will be tailgating activities such as bags, giant Jenga, darts, and more. The kitchen will be open for appetizers and food as well. Don’t forget to wear your team colors!

Ironside Axe Club Iowa vs. Iowa State Watch Party
What: Ironside Axe Club has your CyHawk needs covered! Join them at 2:30 for a watch party wearing your team colors. There will be door prizes, as well as a special for one free drink with the purchase of a throw time.

Waukee Hy-Vee Tailgate Party
What: Waukee Hy-Vee is celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Iowa Wave Shirt with a tailgate party! Come out to celebrate with local food vendors, a silent auction, and so much more. 100% of all Iowa Wave Shirt sales and silent auction that evening will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital through the Iowa Wave Shirt!

When: Thursday, September 8, 4 – 7 p.m. 

Big Grove Gameday Party
What: Big Grove Brewery will have the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game on their TVs, as well as their large projector WITH the volume on loud and proud. The kitchen opens at 11 a.m.

Touchdown Tailgate
What: Two jumbotron televisions will be at Cowles Commons this weekend for the big matchup. Ricochet Bar will have beverages available, and there will be food trucks as well. Pregame starts at 11 a.m., and the music and entertainment continue all day with kickoff happening at 3 p.m. Admission is free, remember to bring chairs!

KXNO CyHawk Blood Drive
What: Whether you bleed cardinal and gold or black and gold, help save lives by donating blood. LifeServe Blook Center and KXNO are teaming up to tackle the blood shortage.

When: Saturday, September 10, 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

Cy/Hawk Squad Run (Fleet Feet)
What: Join Fleet Feet Des Moines for a Hawks vs. Cyclones social run. Teams will run a 5K route in opposite directions, passing each other along the way. One dollar will be donated per mile with the money going toward each associated team, University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital or United Way of Story Country.
