Perry’s trick or treat night is from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, October 29!

Looking for other opportunities to have the kids practice their jokes and get another use out of that costume? Check out these community trick or treat events! 

Trunk or Treat
Head over to Johnston from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27 for the ultimate Trunk or Treat! Kids can wear their costumes and head from car to car to get candy. Plus, there will be inflatables and crafts to add to the fun. Right next door, Johnston Police and Fire Departments will be handing out candy from squad cars and fire trucks, so be sure to go say hello to them as well!

Halloween Trick or Treat & Donation Drive
Outlets of Des Moines is hosting a trick or treat from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 28 kids 12 and under. In order to participate, kids must bring a personal hygiene item or canned good to donate to Caring Hands Outreach Center. Kids will have the opportunity to help out by doing a good deed, as well as getting some candy in return! 

Trick or Trees
The Greater Des Moines BOOTanical Garden is offering a full weekend of Halloween fun! From October 29 - 31, enjoy interactive activities, entertainment, carved pumpkins, and opportunities to learn about trees and spooky botanicals throughout the gardens. Costumes are encouraged!  

Valley Junction Pumpkin Walk
Show off your costume from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 31 in Historic Valley Junction! Not only will there be trick-or-treating, but face painting, bubbles, balloons, and hayrack rides. Plus, performances by The Betty Hill Dancers! There will also be free pumpkins while supplies last, perfect to carve on Halloween night.

You can't have Halloween weekend without some fun for the adults as well! Check out some of the different events throughout Greater Des Moines this weekend. 

Smash Park Halloween Party
Smash Park is DYING for you to come to their annual Halloween party from 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. on October 29! There will be $2,000 worth of cash prizes for best costumes, so come with your best. Plus, DJ Nic will be in the house, as well as Halloween-themed drinks and free jello shots. Sounds like a scary good night to us!

Halloween Zoo Brew
Everyone's favorite adult zoo event is back with their Halloween edition on October 29! Grab your costume and enjoy lighted displays throughout the zoo, a haunted train ride, and adult brews trick-or-treating. Plus, music from The Punching Pandas.

Mistress Brewing Company Halloween Bash
If you're looking for an all-day affair, head to Mistress Brewing Company for their annual Halloween Bash on October 30There will be live music from 3 - 6 p.m., followed by a night of karaoke and giant beer pong. Wear your costume for a chance to win prizes!

4th Annual Des Moines Halloween Bar Crawl
Join in on the scariest bar crawl of the year! Experience 10 different bars throughout the night, plus an after party on October 30.
